Acceleration

by Graham McNamee
Thriller/Espionage
210 pages

“Let me ask you a hypothetical question?”

“Hype away.”

“Suppose you knew somebody was going to be killed?”

“What am I getting psychic visions?”

Duncan’s dad makes him get a job at the Toronto subway lost and found. Way boring , until Duncan finds a psychotic man’s diary outlining his plan to kill the women he’s been stalking. Suddenly his summer has been turned into a race to find an unnamed terror lurking somewhere in the city.

Duncan is a sixteen-year-old boy who is dealing with guilt after he couldn’t save a girl who drowned last summer. Together with Vincent, his best friend, they try to track down Roach, the man who lost his diary filed with stories of fires he started, animals he killed and the victims he plans to murder.

As time passes, the story becomes fast-paced and gripping right until the end where finally Duncan can learn to live with himself.
