Have you ever wondered what it would be like to lose your parents in a mysterious fire? Well that’s what the Baudelaire children had to go through. Violet Baudelaire is the eldest who was fourteen; Klaus Baudelaire is the middle child just above twelve, and Sunny Baudelaire the youngest was an infant. Their parents die in a terrible fire. They had to live with Mr. Poe who was a friend of their parents that the children met many times at dinner parties and shared a room with his two kids Albert and Edger. Then they move out and go to live with Count Olaf who they have never met before. When they get there they see pictures of eyes all over the place and wonder what they could mean. He also had a tattoo on his ankle of an eye. The children think that this can’t be any worse but it is. He makes them clean a lot; they later figure out that all he wants is the Baudelaire fortune. But Violet can’t get the fortune until her eighteenth birthday.
