8.4

by Peter Hernon
Fiction
576 pages

John Atkins sits speechlessly in his GMC while thousands of rats are running past outside his window. This is just a taste of the action in 8.4.

In the book Elizabeth Holleran gets information predicting a massive earthquake in the Midwest . She goes there in an attempt to alert people of the danger. She teams up there with John Atkins, a USGS seismologist, to do anything they can to stop the earthquake.

John and Elizabeth are both in their mid thirties. John is ruddy faced, with a big nose. Elizabeth has dirty blond hair, and a beautiful face. They first meet at a restaurant in Memphis, where John thinks Elizabeth is crazy for predicting a quake. But, they end up sharing dangers and adventures that will help them become good friends or maybe more.

In the book you will see the courage and determination the characters have show to survive the earthquakes and help prevent other quakes. You will see that nothing good happens without hard work and some challenges along the way
