She feeds but doesnt kill, and she lives her life of the low key to maintain her secret. But when her creator Yakasha the only other vampire left beside herself. Alisa must break her own rules in order to survive the battle with her creator.
Alisa is a very complex individual going along side with the choices that she made like having to leave her daughter and husband or they were to die if she stayed. Ray another complicated individual with the death of his father and the forbidden love that he has for Alisa. Both Ray and Alisa are put into obstacles that land them into deeper water.
In this book you learn the value of life and that everything that you see is not as it seems. The years in a humans life seem to short to a vampires life, with the twists and turns that come with the everyday living of a human. But for a vampire they are forced to be put of the circle of life and see their loved ones die and new life be born ; but the truth is even vampire get lonely with age even if it takes 5,000 years to kick in.
This book connects to my life in a way that involved loved ones that are forgotten and the fact that not everyone get a choice to be how they want to be but, everyone is dealt with the choice what to do with your life even if you cant change how you are.
