I dont know who I am. J.D doesnt remember anything from the explosion. J.D wakes up in a hospital. Doctors are surprised she lived through an explosion.
J.D. doesnt remember anything when she wakes up in the hospital; Doctor Fisher tells her that her name is Jane Doe. She says that doesnt sound right, and tells the doctor to call her J.D. J.Ds watching television, and it said that she was found in an explosion, and was the only person who survived. Dr Fisher releases J.D and puts her in a center until somebody comes to pick her up.
When J.D is at the center nobody really likes her, except for Daniel. Daniel was kind to her because he was the only kid who talked to J.D, and helped her out the first day at the center. After a few days Daniel and J.D started talking more to each other, but not much. Daniel was one of the kids at the center who didnt make fun of her. J.D is trying to make friends with people at the center. J.D wants to find out more about her past.
J.D. learns that she has to figure out what trust is, and that some people arent trust worthy. She finds people who are trust worthy like Daniel. When J.D. is at the center they call her to the office and tell her that her mom is there. J.D. doesnt think that is her mom but still goes with her. They go to J.D house and she looks around in her room, and still doesnt bring back any memory for her. The mom makes appointment with J.D doctor and the doctor is doing a test to try to get her memory back. I learned that some people you cant trust and some people you can trust. It showed in the book because she found out that her mom wasnt really trust worthy, but she could trust Daniel.
This book connects to my life because you have to know who to trust in life. For example you have to know if you can trust your friends or not. This is the first time I read a book like this where there are adults who are not trusts worthy.
