by Jerry Spinelli Fiction
The new kid in school is always the most interesting. Everyone wants to make them blend in and become like everyone else at the school.
Star girl is the new kid in school. Everyone loves star girl and her unique ways until they all start to ignore her. Star girl falls in love with the narrator during that time of silence.
The character, star girl, is the nicest person in the book. She sings happy birthday to everyone on the day of their birthday, sends cards to people who are sick or have been going through bad/good times. Star girl is also the most unique because she is the only one who wears dresses, plays music, has a rat as a pet, and puts flowers on her desk everyday in every class.
The lesson of the story is that you should get to know people before you judge them for who they are. People can be completely different that who you think they ear.
This book was a really great book because it had characters and people that could relate to me. I would tell and people who are about ten to eighteen years old.
